Manufacturing excellence embedded in our DNA. Our dedicated employees are committed to each and every customer.
Hatch Stamping is dedicated to creating quality products and constantly improving its operations. Hatch utilizes cutting-edge technology such as a web-based computerized operating system and fully-integrated quality systems to maintain the highest level of excellence possible. The management system is process-oriented and systematically controls the entire workflow throughout the company.
Throughout the development process the application of modern quality tools – such as Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) – drives Hatch Stamping’s goal of zero-defect production and leverages the best possible process and production technologies.
Hatch Stamping also uses CAD-based programmable coordinate-measuring machines (CMM) to ensure that all finished products maintain specific dimensions and conform to our high standards.
Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
Quality can’t be an afterthought – it must be implemented during the design stage and integrated into the manufacturing process. At Hatch Stamping, potential quality concerns are identified in the APQP process through the FMEA. The cross-functional APQP team implements corrective actions to prevent quality concerns early in the process.
Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
Hatch Stamping is equipped with 12 CMM’s throughout our facilities to ensure immediate feedback for any dimensional requests. Our CMM’s range from small work surface units to large gantry-style systems to handle a wide range of part sizes. All CMM’s are equipped with PH10 heads and the latest version of Personal Computer Dimensional Measurement Inspection Software (PCDMIS). PCDMIS allows Hatch Stamping to integrate our customers’ CAD or other digital data directly into the CMM for accurate and efficient program development.
Gauging
Functional gauges are designed and built per part print and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements. All significant and critical characteristics are included in the gauge design.
Statistical Process Control
Hatch Stamping utilizes real-time Statistical Process Control (SPC) as a tool to control the production process. Using this technology, we can ensure critical tolerances are held consistently throughout even the longest production runs.
Production Accountability
Our process includes in-press inspection, auditing, and traceability. We barcode our products so they can be accounted for at every stage in the production process.
The result? Hatch Stamping is ISO 14001/IATF 16949 certified and is a Ford Q1 partner. The company’s PPM level is considered world-class, consistently meeting or exceeding industry requirements. The Hatch Stamping quality team oversees the production process from advanced quality planning during the pre-production stage, to plant support throughout product life to ensure exceptional finished parts.
